| How & what do I cook to feed raw? I just adopted a 6 month old Yorkie puppy and she doesn't want to eat. The people we rescued her from were feeding her Puppy Chow. I bought Eukanuba since that is what we raised both our Lab & Peekapoo on but as I'm reading & learning more about Yorkies, I want to go raw. What do you suggest I prepare so that she gets a well balanced diet? I don't want to do just chicken & brown rice. She needs veggies & fruits also right?

If you want to feed raw, you can get pre made raw that is already balanced with the proper vitamins they need. No you don't "NEED" to feed them grains, fruit or veggies. I give raw a few times a week and it's only the raw meat. | |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I feed pre-made raw and right now I'm using Primal. There are other brands too. Some people feed Prey Model raw as well. Some feed both kibble and raw. Lots of options...there really is no right or wrong, as long as the diet is balanced for a canine . edited to add: it is especially important to be sure that a puppy's diet is balanced properly as they are still growing and developing
