| dandruff... what the best thing to do?? I have seen that my yorkie has some dandruff.. I used to bath her every week and they i read that it was caused from bathing her that oftern. So i started giving her a bath every 2 weeks but she still has it! Does anybody has the same problem?? What can I do?? Because i have to bath her every 2 weeks or she smells really bad!! so i cant go more than 2 weeks! Also, I use those regular dog shampoos at the store. Maybe that is the problem.. but i dont know! |

| Inferior diet and hair products can cause dandruff. Try BioGroom oatmeal shampoo and BioGroom silk creme conditioner, available online and at PetSmart. You can bathe weekly. |

| After i shampoo and condition Pasquale...i pour a little apple cider vinegar over him and then rinse that out. The ACV seems to get out any shampoo residue i may have missed..you may want to give that a try?

You raise another very important point -- rinsing. To the OP, make sure you rinse out shampoo very well. Residual shampoo will cause itching and flaking. | |

| I would error on the side of caution and talk to my vet and a canine nutritionist before adding any kind of supplement to my dog's diet. First confirm that the dog's current diet is adequate and that the hair products used are appropriate/good for the skin. Then consider supplements. |
