| Hello Hello everyone, I am a new Yorkie owner. My Lilly is 4 months old and very active. The only problem I am facing so far is that she does not eat her dry food. I often catch her eating the cat's food, but not her own. Don't know what to do. Thank you |

| Welcome to YT. Congratulations for your new baby Lilly. Keep the cat food out of reach. I believe cat food contains ingredients that might be bad for your little one. Are you feeding anything in addition to the dry food -- treats and fresh foods? Sometimes dogs will ignore their kibble and hold out for the "good stuff." If not, you can add a little something on top of her kibble to entice her to eat, like a teaspoon of fresh veggies. Check the health section of this forum for safe and recommended foods. It only takes tiny amounts. You can also try different kibble. Some Yorkies can be very picky eaters and will go through many different brands of kibble before they find what they like. |
