| How does food rotation work? Do I change up the food everyday or every week or is it personal preference? I think Yuna is getting bored of her food. She won't eat on her own. Perhaps if its a different kibble from time to time, she'll eat on her own. |

| I think every day or every week might be too much. I rotate Jackson's food every bag. He eats Acana Grasslands and Go! Endurance right now and when one bag is finished, we go to the next food. He gets bored easily so this is a good routine for us.

| Right now I'm feeding Nature's Variety, and all of their foods are made for easy rotation. For instance, there is the Instinct (grain free line) that has several flavors (as in different protein sources) in frozen raw, kibble, and canned. Then there is their Prairie line that also has different flavors in kibble and canned. You can switch up between any of these to keep your dog "excited" about their food. Give them raw, give them kibble, give them canned or some canned mixed into their kibble, no problem there is no need to transition so you can feed whatever works for your dog. Mine get raw in the morning and then they graze on Prairie kibble the rest of the day. Every time I have to buy another bag (about once per month for the small bag of kibble), I switch to a different "flavor," so the kibble changes from month to month. I go through about 2 bags of raw medallions a month, so that "flavor" changes for them about every two weeks. I can tell a difference between some of the raw flavors, but to me the kibble all looks and smells the same .... but Jezebel gets so darn excited every time I open a new bag, it is obvious that SHE can tell the difference.
