| Cheerios I read in a few threads now that Cheerios were recommended as a treat. Is that true? |

| yes they are low fat and excellent for training. make sure it is the regular and not the honey nut bc of the sugar. I also use carrots copped up small and a few blue berries Frozen french style green beans. I just defrost them in the microwave or warm water.

| I give mine cheerios...they love them! But my vet said not to give them too many, so I only give them a couple at a time.

| Thanks, I knew that they are low in fat and sugar and try to convince my diabetic clients to eat them instead of all the other cereals they rather have but I wasn't sure if they are really good for dogs. We tried baby carrots yesterday and they were a success. |

| Plain cheerios are fine and work well as training rewards, but my little guy infinitely prefers tiny pieces of chopped carrot as a training reward

| My vet said not to feed them at all because of the grains and potential for allergies.?.

| Betty Boop has been getting Cheerios for treats and training since I got her back in October. I only give her one at a time and make sure she swallows it, because if she runs with it in her mouth she chokes on it. She loves them and has had no problems with gaining weight or allergies.
