| Puppy teeth question???? I know Yorkies are famously notorious for retaining their puppy teeth. But I'd like to know if any of your babies have actually lost them on their own and at what age. Tensley, at 9 months, just lost one bottom puppy tooth. The other bottom one seems a bit wiggly but not loose. His top puppy teeth are still quite attached and have moved behind (in line) of his permanent canines.

| They usually have to have at least one removed. I wouldnt let it go on much past a yr old they can get dental problems that affect their heart and organs

| YAY! I'm so glad I found your post!!!! I have the same problem.. My oldest had a problem with one of her sharp top teeth. But after some rough play w/ daddy she lost it at around 10 months. The rest she lost on her own. Now my youngest is almost the same way. Except she has both of her top sharp teeth & she is almost 9 months. The rest she's lost by chewing on bully's and anything she can get in her mouth. My question is, when do you go to get them removed? I wanted to wait until she's 10 months as that's what worked w/ my oldest but I'm a little nervous as she still has both of them. And also, what do I ask my vet to get this done? Hey I need 2 puppy teeth removed? Thanks in advance everyone!

| Hammer got three taken out during a vet visit, then when he was neutered, he got 5 pulled. It was a bit pricey, but worth it. Like someone mentioned, I wouldnt wait to long to get them out. |

| Bella lost all of her teeth at about 8-10 months, except one on the top which had to be removed. She lost most of them during play with soft toys (ropes and such) and the rest herself by chewing on harder dental bones (especially the back teeth). She has extremely white, healthy teeth, but sometimes her breathe is kind of bad. I was considering brushing them daily but I'm not exactly sure what to use. Any suggestions? Thank you |
