| Miss Zoey and some issues need help; Little Zoey is a rescue Yorkie we have had her for about 3 years when I say little I mean tiny maybe 2 pounds. Our groomer and vet seem to think she was a puppy mill puppy she has been through 2 homes before she came to live with us. We love her and she seems to love her home and sister Bella our other Yorkie. Over the last couple of years I have noticed that she sneezes often and sounds congested in her nose and is rubbing her nose with her paws to the point that she has caused some irritation around her nose. This last episode she scratched her eye to the point that she caused a major injury to her eye that we are treating her via the vets instructions with eye drops every hour antibiotic The vet thinks dry eye but she does not have dry eye in her other eye...I have thought she has an allergy to something and have mentioned this to the vet for some time. Zoey has had lot of health issues this last episode was very scary with her eye which hopefully we can save the vet called a specialist in Portland we would have driven the the 4 hour drive for her. Does anyone have any issues with what I have described? Or suggestions would be appreciated..... |

| Well, I don't have a problem with Charlie, and as I'm a new puppy mom, I don't have a ton of experience with this, but I have a friend who's dog had allergies and was much better after treatment (her dog wasn't a Yorkie.) I think it would certainly be worth investigating. I find it more frustrating dealing with the dog's health issues than the kids. It's like having a newborn. They can't tell you any details. |
