| Excessive salivating. Very worried This morning our little man snuck into a closet and ripped up papers and I don't really know what else he ate. That was 12 hours ago at around 6 am. At noon his mouth was very wet and so were his ppaws. At 4PM. His .mouth was very wet and his paws, legs and chest were very wet. It seems like it is excessive salivation. I gave him a bath at 5 and blow dried him. His face and paws were wet again at 6. He did not vomit, he is eating and is very playful. Do u think he has a stomach problem? Should we take him to the er vet? Google said upset stomach will cause this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Very worried here. Btw, he is 2 and weighs about 9lbs. Thank u.

| at least call ER to ask them what is next step since vet may be closed - never hurts to ask them and they will usually instruct you |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I know once my Pixie got a hold of one of those silca pacs they put in new purses and shoes and got very sick. Is it possible he got a hold of one of those? Pixie was vomiting a lot and I took her in to the er and they gave her some meds and fluids and she was better. I hope he feels better soon.

| Thank you all so much for your help. We called the ER vet and regular vet too. They both said that because he didn't vomit (we searched high and low), and since he is playful, eating and acting normally otherwise they agree that he probably ate something that irritated his gums or his tummy which is why he was salivating so much. Both vets said that it wasn't necessary to come in but if he changed at all we could bring him in. They said he is trying to flush it out of his mouth. He is barely doing it anymore thank goodness. I don't know how he got around the baby gate but we are buying a new one that is better this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion about the silica packets. We looked but didn't find anything. Those scare us too! Also, thank goodness there was no medicine in the closet. We really appreciate all your comments. It's so scary when they don't feel well.

| I completely agree. Thanks for all your support. We have him in between us in bed and my husband and I are watching him vigilantly. We appreciate all your support.
