| Bad yorkie teeth I just picked up 2 yorkies that have VERY BAD teeth. some are missing and others should be missing. The gums look infected too. Does anyone have a remedy to relieve the pain for these dogs untill I get them to the vet? Also is there a way to clean them somewhat myself for now? I prob. won't be able to get them in untill later next week. |

| Stop! Read this! I have to recommend that you do absolutely nothing to their mouths. Dogs with dental disease carry a boatload of bacteria, and if you do anything to cause their gums to bleed such as brushing, you could open a gateway for the bacteria to get directly into their bloodstream. Definitely soft food only... Maybe call your vet as they will need to be put on antibiotics for a few days before a dental is done...
