| OMG He ate a button of my pj's! OMG I came home and my boyfriend told me that Harley had reached through his play pen, dragged my pj's into his pen and made them all slobbery. I thought nothing of it bc he said nothing else was wrong w/ them. Well that night I inspected them further only to find that he had eaten the button off of them! PROBLEM! I'm so worried that it won't come out. I inspected his "business" this morning like a devoted furbaby mom should (blech) and found nothing. I'm shooting for tomorrow though. You guys have any thoughts, advice or similar experiences? I'm going to call my vet and ask her opinion too. He's acting normally and eating and drinking but it just worries me that it might not come out and could cause a long term slow build up in there. You guys think some ferret lax could help him out? (it's safe for them) Eekk I'm just soo worried! Help!

| i think he should be ok. it will probably come out soon. does he do the same thing w/his toys? i've noticed that Edgar has a thing for "button eyes." i went to get him a cuddly baby bear and couldn't find anything w/sewn/embroidered eyes. i even looked in the baby section. i'm sure it will come out. hope they weren't your favorite! t |

| Once I thought that Rowdy swallowed a paper clip (not sure he actually did). I called the vet and he said to give him a 1/4 teaspoon of mineral oil on his food (he was about 3 lbs at the time). I gave him the oil 3 times per day. The vet also said to feed him a little bread, if he would eat it. I did all of those things and checked poop for 4 days and didn't see anything so i decided he didn't really swallow it. Anyway, hope this helps.

I sure hope Harley passes the button and that it was a very small button. The plastic would worry me though. Praying all works out well for the little guy.

| Trixie swallowed her little hairband once. And yes, a day and a half later, there was a nice pink addition to her poo! Good thing it was bright and easy to see

| Mine are 4 and 8 lbs. My 4lber has had more trouble passing things when she ate it. She usually throws it back up. My 8lber just passed it in his stools. Thanks for the compliment.
