| Acana I have noticed that many people use Acana but I noticed that they do not have a small breed puppy formula. I am currently feeding Holistic Select small breed puppy which is a very small kibble. Is the size of the Acana kibble small enough that they can eat it or do you break it into smaller pieces? Thanks for your help. |

I want to add, I hesitated to try Acana because I was afraid the kibble would be too large. Now that I've been feeding it a few months and have seen how well the whole gang is doing on it - I know it would be worth it to me to have to break up the kibble for every one of my babies if that's what it took. They, and I, LOVE Acana! Welcome to YT!!

| Does Acana have sample size bags you can get or purchase? Pasquale is picky when it comes to Kibble. Right now i have him on Raw in the morning and Nature's Variety at night...i like NV, but the kibble is so small he inhales it! I was thinking maybe Acana cause the kibble are bigger..BUT he's picky when it comes to kibble.

YT 2000 Club Member | Kibble size is large, I had to break it in half for my 2 smaller dogs 4 and 9 pounds, they couldnt eat it whole. Its a good food, good company. My dogs loved it, just couldnt tolerate the higher protien level... good luck Im sure your dog will enjoy it..

| They have .88 bags at my local store... if you can't find it locally, I can always pick up a small bag for you and ship it to you for you to try, you can paypal me the $$! Or, I can just send you a little baggy of the Acana I have. He's currently eating Prairie Harvest but we're almost finished w/ it, and will be buying Grasslands soon!

| My little man is on Acana and has been doing well on it for about 6 months. The kibble size is a little larger, but it is an awesome food! It seemed that Harley ate it a little slower at first, but now he doesn't have any problems with it at all. I actually had to change from free feeding to scheduled feedings because he would eat a days worth in one setting if I left it down! Jeri and Harley |

| I order my Acana from www.pawschoice.com. Free shipping when you spend $75 or more. $5.00 flat-rate shipping when you spend $50 - $75. I ordered a 30lb bag of the Acana Prairie Harvest and it was $55.78 plus $5.00 shipping. I have 3 dogs and they all love it. First kibble I have found that they will eat really good. Donating YT 500 Club Member | Being Bridget is a fussy eater, I'm always reading the threads that concern kibble. I finally found one that she would eat "Holistic Select" and now I read someone changing off it. So I'm once again questioning my choice. I did go to the Champion Pet Foods web site and they do show a small breed puppy. Am I not looking at the right food? And....is this better than the Holistic Select? (Hopefully this link works). The small breed formula isn't grain free - just in case that's what you're looking for. I believe only the grain free line is available in the US. For some reason, the other line (including this food) is only available in Canada. I'm not familiar with Holistic Select. Can you post the ingredients here?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thanks for clearing that up bonbon - I guess I wasn't paying attention (probably due to the fact that I'm at work and should be working but am addicted to YT...lol) Rather than paste everything I've attached the website for Holistic Select Small Breed Puppy Food. (I believe its Eagle Pack or WellPet...I think one bought out the other) I'm not sure that I'm looking for "grain-free" or not...at this point just something that isn't horrible for her that she'll actually eat without me having to feed her one at a time, or get down on all fours and pretend to eat it myself. Someone posted a thread that listed several companies of the better brands of dog food that would send free samples, and Holistic Select was one of about 8 that I received, and the only one that Bridget was interested in at all. I'm sure it's not as good as most, but I was wondering how far off it actually is. Thanks for taking the time to enlighten me - I just love this place....and Sugarlump - sorry to step on your thread. Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | I just started morgan on Acana too. We scored at the feed store and got six 1lb trial size bags for free. so we have two of each flavor. Morgan loves it and has no problem with the kibble size.
