| No longer a picky eater after spay???? Gracie has always been a picky eater and we've had to add carrots or cottage cheese or something tempting in order to get her to eat. Even then she would sometimes turn her nose up an not eat anything. Since we had her spayed last month, she absolutely inhales her food. Has anyone else had this happen?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Bridget has always been fussy - I must have samples from 7 different recommended suppliers and she has turned her nose up at all of them. She was spayed last week, and is eating much better. My first thought was the same as yours but in our case while she was under she had 9 baby teeth removed that weren't coming out on their own, so for me I think it's the teeth and not the spay....lol - whatever it is - I'm just glad I don't have to get on the floor and pretend to eat her food anymore!!!!

| Gracie did the same thing with numerous samples. Turned up that snooty little nose at everything!!!! See didn't have any teeth issues though so all I can figure is the spay and hormone changes.

| I had Daisy spayed a month ago. She isn't a picky eater, but I noticed after her surgery she eats more and is more active. She seems healthier since her spay even though she was healthy before spay

| Yep, I couldn't get Apple to eat anything, w/o doctoring it up...She only weighed 4 1/2 lbs., and I was determined that she needed to weigh 5 lbs., before spaying...Then I started her on raw, and she gained to 4 lbs. 15 oz. and I had her spayed...Then I decided to do raw in the a.m. and Acana kibble in the p.m., hoping to satisfy her wanting to chew on sticks and wood and leaves, etc...I thought she wouldn't eat the kibble, but she downs 1/4 cup and looks up for more...I think it's the spay, because I tried everything, on the planet, before she was spayed...Now I'm a bit concerned that she's going to gain too much weight, and it's even grainfree! |

| Sounds just like Sophie. I was constantly switching foods to get her to eat. She was even turning her nose up to raw, and you could forget about kibble. After the spay, she eats anything I put down.

| Sounds like Lexi too...she was so picky. Now she does eat...and I worry now too. Worried before when she didn't eat...and now worry that she eats to much...LOL just don't want her to gain to much weight as I worry about her little knees although she doesn't have any problems. But she now weighs a little over 5lbs. and she had a hard time getting to 4 lbs.

| So glad to hear it's not my imagination. Yes, she eats better, has more energy and is more playful. Must of have those darned hormones. At least I have my little girl back. I was wondering where she went!!!!
