| Can meds make her agressive? My girl Halo is currently being treated for stomach ulcers. Last week we finished up her Fomotidine & Sucralfate (like anti-acids, I think) and Amoxil. She's presently still taking predisone daily, working on lowering the dosage. I've said all this to see if you think there may be a connection. The last few days she has become very agressive toward TJ. I have 6 yorkies, but for some reason, TJ just really rubs her the wrong way lately. Anyone have any logical explanations for this? Could it be the meds, or she still just doesn't feel well and takes it out on him. It's very frustrating for me. Right now I've got her isolated from the others while I'm at work. Not sure what I'll do tonight at bed-time....they usually all sleep with us. I'm looking forward to any and all suggestions on how to handle this.

| I think you would get a better answer in the Sick Forum. Maybe you can PM and ask if a MOD can move your thread. Predisone can make people very anxious so maybe that might be her problem. Did you try to call the vet and see what his thought were?

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I would ask the vet, if it's possible, I know a pain medication made Joey hyper, and it would be good to give the vet any symptoms your dog is displaying with new medication. If it's due to the fact that you do is still experiencing pain, your vet should know that as well, pain is a very serious symptoms, and dogs have a need to hide their pain, so pet owners have to be deligent in noticing any changes in behavior.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Prednisone is a steroid. It absolutely CAN have an effect on dog (and people) behavior. Prednisone Side Effects in Dogs Prednisone / Prednisolone Prednisone and corticosteriods I would definitely let the vet know about behavior changes. |
