| grooming preference i'm taking chewie to the groomer for the first time on friday,(i've been brushing him myself) he is a little over 4months old. i would like to have let his hair grow to see what it looked like long, but i'm tempted to keep him in a puppy cut. what do you all prefer? i'm still undecided, his hair is changing color as it grows and i think he will look almost gray and pale cream if i cut him short |

| Twinkie is 8 months old now and I am also kind of undecided as well. I bought some clippers and so far I have only used them on her ears, bum and paws. I kind of want to let her hair grow out, so I have only trimmed the hair on the bottom of her sides and belly so that the hair from her spine will catch up..... I am tempted to shave off her baby hair to reveal the silver underneath... but I just can't bring myself to do it, especially now that it's fall.

| It depends on your weather, If you go with the puppy coat he will he cold in the winter. I get Princess the Puppy cut for the summer, because it's so hot here. The Groomer can always give him a trim.

| Trixie went to the groomer for the first time last week. I decided to keep her hair long for a couple of reasons: she has a beautiful silky coat, winter is coming and it will be cold (!!), she looks soooo cute with a ponytail. I've never had her in puppy cut, so I can't really compare...

| Gracie is not blessed with a silky coat , so alas I must keep her in a puppy cut. Her head and leg hair are silky so I can keep that longer, but the body hair is a cotton nightmare that will mat if not kept short Oh, well..............must do what works best for your babies coat mine wears a coat in the winter made by FOGGY MOUNTAIN DOG COATS, the same company that makes horse blankets............... |

| We keep Rowdy (8 months) in a puppy cut - it's just so much easier. BUT, I too am tempted to let his hair grow out a little for winter. My hubby does not want to though so we may just keep in him a puppy cut - he is sooooo cute though, so I can't complain! Here he is on the day of his last grooming.

I bet you are exactly correct! I'll have to work on him - maybe I can just delay and delay and delay that groomers appointment??? Thanks for the encouragement!
