Bailey weighs 12.6 pounds!! - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Last night we went to the vet for his annual check up and shots,, We had a bet going on what he weighed,,well I won,,, I said 13pds,and he was 12.6. I was amazed what a mommas boy he became when we got there. ( since he's always so feisty) The vet said " oh he's not a normal terrier,,, not as spunky" Then he said " lets check his teeth" and he TRIED and Bailey growled,, and He said " Oh there it is!" LOL . I said " ya want more of that try to clip his nails!"
But, he got a total clean bill of health,, told me he was strong and healthy, and looked great. He also said he'd rather see one Baileys size, than one of the wee little ones, Health wise, even though he said he makes more MONEY on the little ones... Then we discussed all the Puppymills locally... (amish area.) He said he could have a booming business just taking care of all the local Mill dogs..alone.

.. But ,I'm happy that I have a Very healthy,, BIG boy!~~

Oh I am so glad you got a healthy report from the Doc!!! he weighs about the same as my Bentley

He is a handsome fellow!!

That's so good to hear. I agree about the size. Besides, that really isn't very big. Just fits in your arms, right?

Health is the number one consideration and with the little one's there is too frequently a lot of heartache. Kacee's trying to catch up!

Awww!! Glad to hear Bailey is a healthy lil boy!!

Sammi weighs more than him, but i will not tell her that..She might want to go on the South beach diet

Thanks,,for all the well wishes,,, I was quite happy. Never know what the vet might have to say. But, he had nothing but GOOD things to say.

Got some heartgard and $88.00 dollars later, away we went!

I think its better for them to be big and healthy than small and frail too. Glad he had a great checkup.

Boy, if you got out of there for 88 bucks AND heartguard...you did great!!!

Thats what I thought, I thought it was gonna be more! He got his rabies, and another shot,, and checked out,, and 3 months of heartgard.. I was a little shocked,, I was expecting 125.00+ , Good for us.. I'll spend it on Bailey anyhow!~~
