| Thoughts on Wellness Core? Does anyone else feed their furries Wellness Core Grain-Free dry? I picked up a couple of free samples at the local pet store. I mixed a few kibbles in with her Evo dry this morning. She picked out the Evo, but eventually ate the Wellness this afternoon. I'm just looking to switch her to something with less protein, but I read Wellness is highly recommended because of the first four ingredients being meat. |

| We're going to pick some of this up at Petco tomorrow and start switching Chloe over to it on Monday. So...no news yet as to what effects it has on her, but I'll keep you posted! I too have heard a lot of good things about it, so I decided to give it a try. -C

| Sydney ate it today mixed with her evo fish dry. I have her trying the original Wellness Core. I also have a sample of the fish one, too. We'll have to swap observations. Thank you for responding and I look forward to hearing how Chloe likes it. |

| Wow! I have to say I was very surprised at Chloe's reaction to the Wellness Core food. I just got the original recipe to try first. I fed her a couple of bites by hand and then mixed about ten pieces of kibble in with her old food yesterday. She picked out each piece of Wellness food to eat, sorting it from the Iams and leaving the Iams scattered around the bowl. She only ate a little of her old Iams food as a last resort when all the Wellness was gone. Now I'm worried about upsetting her stomach because I know you're supposed to slowly mix the new food in, but Chloe's not interested in that!! I mixed a little more Wellness in with her food today as well and she did the same thing, picking around the Iams to eat the new stuff. So far no upset tummy though. Regardless, she paws down prefers Wellness Core!!! I'm really going to have be strict about measuring the food or she might eat the whole bag in a day. I'm eager to see what difference it makes in her coat! -C

| That's great news! I think Chloe's stomach will be fine. If she starts having problems, just back off the Wellness Core a bit and give it to her after she eats some of the Iams. Sydney is doing very well so far. She's eating the original without hesitation now. The kibbles are a little bigger than her Evo small bites, but not too much bigger. I still have a lot of the Evo left, so I'm going to just keep mixing the two together. She seems to be okay with it. Again, I'm thrilled that Chloe likes her new food. Let's hope it is a good switch for both our furries! |

| Sydney just tried the Wellness Small Breed dry and she went nuts for the food! The kibble is in little triangles and reminded me of how cat food looked, but Syd didn't seem to mind. Since I had Evo dry left over, I mixed the two together. |

| I have never feed Wellness Core to my dogs but I gave it to my diabetic cat for a while and he loved it. Even though he now eats only canned food I still feed the Wellness Core to my porch kitty.

My new problem is figuring out how much to feed her. Currently, she picks all the Wellness out in about the first twenty minutes that it's down. Previously, we've always just let her free feed and I'd put about half a cup of Iams in her bowl to last her all day. Usually, there was still a handful of kibble left in the bowl by the end of the day. The Wellness directions say to feed her between 1/4 -1 & 1/4 cups per day for her weight range (she's 5 lbs). Since she's supposed to need less of this good food than the Iams, should I start out with just the 1/4 cup a day? If she eats it all in one sitting, maybe I could split it up and feed her twice a day. How do I know if I'm not feeding her enough? Thanks!! -C
