| Good information!!! I'm so confused about the whole dairy product thing. Why have cheese flavored treats if they shouldn't have dairy? Also, I know some members, including myself, give small cheese piece, small amounts of yogurt, or cottage cheese also. I'll emphasize the SMALL amount part.

| Some dogs can be lactose intolerant I think. But I've never had a problem with giving my dogs dairy. I even feed my chihuahua some plain yogurt when he is having an upset stomach and it helps him feel better and be able to keep food down. |

| Thank you for sharing. I'll be sure my man sees the one 'shouldn't feed your dog bones.' It really gets on my nerves when we're at his parents' and they're giving Sandy bones. I probably sound like a maniac to his mom |

| no you don't my uncle had a big dog gave his dog cooked rib bones and it punctured his intestines and they could not save the dog in emergency so you can never be too cautious especially with a toy breed dog |

| I try to incorporate veggis in their diets, they love red peppers and steamed carrots and string beans.

I saw that searching foods. Very good to know. A lot of owners 'unknowingly' give foods or treats that are unhealthy. This is a must see for everyone. | |
