| Yet Another Poop Question! Before I go rushing off to the Vet, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about mucusy poop? Apple and Buzz both have the same diet, and Apple's poops are firm and normal looking, but Buzz seems to have some mucus in his poop? They were both checked for worms, less than two weeks ago, so just wondered what this might be? |

After eating grass The intestines get irritated an then the rectum sometimes just gets irritated and out comes some mucus.. I had this happen recently and there was grass in the poo.. it didn't digest it at all, was weird. Watch for blood, and a really bad poop odor and give it a couple of days to clear up and if it hasn't then I would definitely take her off tot he vet. It's not something to rush to the vet with unless you have the above symptoms.

| I think you nailed it...Buzz has always been a grass eater, and I don't know why? I try to discourage him from doing this, and wonder if he needs some kind of enzymes or something? He just seems compelled to eat grass, whenever I let him out in the backyard...Maybe I need to read up on digestive enzymes? |

I guess if they have that grass it is much more digestible then regular grass.. I have thought of doing this for my own dogs but like make it a raised (just 1 or 2 4x4) little grass garden

| Wow, what cool information...I just taking the guys for a walk, but when I get back, I'm going to check that grass growing thingy out...I know wheat grass is good for humans...Btw, they eat raw, so that's why I don't understand Buzz' situation, other than maybe his digestive system is a little less mature, than Apples'...Anyway, thanks... |
