| Yes, I gave Betty Boop cottage cheese when she was around that age just to try and get her to eat. I put a little on top of her food, and it worked. I remember her vet told me I could give her a little of it and also her groomer, who used to train and show Yorkies. I never gave her a lot....just enough to mix with her food and make it smell yummie. However, I changed foods until I found one she liked that really didn't have to be "doctored" up. Are you having a problem with your baby eating?

| A small amount of cottage cheese can be good for them. May I ask why you were told to do this? Is your puppy having any problems?

| That's a fairly innocuous way to give him some extra calcium. AND - they regard it as a treat, so it's a pretty good way to get him to take his "medicine". |

I gave her cottage cheese once as the "frosting" on her little home made birthday cake. Her and her three cousins (now she has four cousins) each had a piece.

| If his ears have already been up, they'll probably come back up again. They'll go up and down a lot while the puppy is teething. Keep the hair on the ears clipped short so the muscle/cartilege can be trained to hold the ear up. Also, massage the ears - the puppies love this and it stimulates the muscles to hole the ear erect.

| So - cottage cheese is not considered 'dairy'? I thought they were not supposed have milk etc? Is cottage cheese good for them - should I be giving it to Mr.Darcy for nutritional purposes - if so how much and how often?

| Never cottage cheese yet but I just bits of plain American cheese to give Jackson for special times, i.e. bathtime, clean-up, teeth brushing, learning a new trick, etc. He *loves* cheese! He loves yogurt too. I started getting him Dannon vanilla no fat yogurt that he really loves as well.
