| Question about eyes draining... So I know that bottled water is good to help stop their eyes from draining...but what about filtered water? We use a brita filter for all our drinking water...and was wondering if that would be the same effect as bottled water??

| Read this thread...She solved her problem. I don't know if it will work for you, too, but I hope so. You can send a message to ShylahTaffy and I'm sure she would be more than happy to help you out, too. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...i-love-yt.html

| We use filtered water from the refrigerator and the fur around Sophie's eyes is dry most of the time.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It depends what's causing the eyes to tear, and for some reason distilled water helps some puppies who are teething. Distilled water is different than filtered water, distilled water take all the minerals out of the water. Bottle water is just "purified" and certain chemicals are reduced, but minerals are still there. Here's a good link, and it tells of the different things that cause tearing.
