| HELP...bad breath and pee stink! Barkley is turning one soon and we still haven't figured out how to cure the bad breath. He is not big on treats so we haven't attempted much to try any but greenees. He's not a fan of those. He loves chew sticks but I've read those aren't good for dogs. I brush often and that doesn't help either. I must not be using a good tooth paste... any suggestions? We grew Barkley's hair out and we loved the long hair but we got tired of the poop sticking and him getting pee on himself. I was bathing him too often. Which I can't stop!!! We finally cut Barkley's hair, it's very short and I still can't get him to stop getting pee on him. I love my baby but I hate the stink. please help! What good wipes are out there? Body spray?

| For the bad breath there are products at the pet stores that you can put into their water bowl to help. I would look into that and also have your vet check Barkley to rule out decay. I use baby wipes to wipe Zeus. Someone on here posted about a new product by nootie that has a body spray and she had pee stink too. Check their website Nootie and request a free sample at sales@nootie.com. |

| Has the vet checked his teeth to see if he has retained any of his baby teeth?

| Oxyfresh Oral Pet Dental products work great. Tasteless and odorless. Just mix a little into their water vowl. 1 Tea per 1 Qt Water. Give it to both of our dogs...I even tried it myself! However, you need to get to the root cause of the problem. Teeth or gum problems, or dry mouth? |

Have you shaved down his belly? I do that to my males so the pee pee can't stick to them, works great! And you don't have to keep their coat short when you shave the belly. Rawhide is what you want to refrain from giving him. Bully sticks are a great alternative, and very safe. I don't recommend Greenies!

| about his teeth, the vet has checked on them and he does have 7 K9. 3 of his baby teeth are still there along with his adult ones. The reason i have put off getting them removed is because the vet has suggested I do that along with when I get Barkley fixed. I do not plan on neutering him anytime soon. I have read its not safe to put small dogs under anesthetics more than once. Pee on the belly isn't the problem its more on his side where his leg meets his body. We shave his belly and ears often. Thank you for the product suggestion, please keep them coming.

| " I have read its not safe to put small dogs under anesthetics more than once". You need to discuss that with a good vet. You can put them under more than once, but with any procedure, things can go wrong. If you have their teeth cleaned every year or every few years, they are under. Not knowing what you read, but it may not be 100% correct. Get his teeth done now. It is not doing him any good. How old will he be when you do get him fixed? BEst of luck! |

| I certainly don't want to harm Barkley so I will look into getting those teeth removed. I am just so scared. Have any of you had your small dog put under more than once? I am new to Vegas and have no idea how to find a great Vet.
