| New Puppy - What food do you use? I am picking up my new furbaby next Saturday and right now she is being fed royal canin mini puppy which has a 3star rating. I was curious...what have you been feeding your puppies?? Thanks.

I've been feeding Acana for over a month now and I love the results. My dogs are happy and playful. They love it and eat it with no problem at all. They have a small puppy breed one which is very tiny and I think would be awesome for a yorkie puppy. Mine are over a year and my fiancee bought the small breed on accident and the pieces are so tiny you never would have to worry. | |

| Sasha eats Blue Buffalo puppy food. It got over a 100% grade on the sticky chart on here that you should check out. It's under the Health and Wellness forum, it grades all of the dog foods out there, and very few foods graded over 100%. Good luck!

| When we got Sophie she was also on Royal Canin. But I did some research and went with Merrick. We started her off slowly and got her the Puppy Plate. Now she is a little over a year and I get some of the other flavors. I have been very happy with them and Sophie really enjoys the food. |

| My Sasha is not too picky about what she eats but Merrick and Nutro Ultra had the best effect on her skin and coat... When I first got her she was on Eukanuba. Which made her itchy and gave her coat a dry coarse texture. Most of the time she gets Merrick now. Occasionally she will get the Nutro when I can't make it to the smaller Pet Store here. |

| If you want to change her food, I'd recommend, Orijen, Acana, Wellness. I wouldn't switch her food right away...give her a couple weeks to settle in. Good luck and congrats on your new baby!! |

| Thank you all so much. I won't change her food until she is well settled in here. Thanks for the advice.
