| Neutering my boys soon So my boys Joey (22 months) and Tank (16 months) are going to be neutered soon. I don't have their appt yet, but it will be in the next month or two (saving up for that and a house at the moment...). Should I take a day off so that I can be with them all day the day of the surgery if I can't have it done on a Saturday? Would they be ok on their own? My husband and I both work, and I would be worried that they wouldn't be alright on their own. Also, do you guys think it's better to have them both done at once, or at different times? I was thinking all at once, because then they will both not want to play at the same time. I am picturing it would be easier so that one won't want to play when the other is sore, then vice versa. Anyone have any experience with neutering two boys at once? Thanks in advance

| I only have one boy but my advice will be to take the day after their neuter off. My vet had me drop Kaji off at 7 am and pick him up at 4. ( I was there earlier ) He needed me at home the day after a lot more than the day of because he spent the day of being cared for by the vet. He bounced back from the neuter quicker than I had anticipated so keeping him calm and stopping him from bouncing around was what I spent 90% of my time.

| Ok. I've been thinking that I could take the day of off, just to make the drop off and pickup easier...I work 330 pm to midnight on weekdays, so that would make things a little tough. I think I might like to do it on a friday, so that I could have Saturday and Sunday off with them to make sure they're ok. Do you think it would be alright to get them both done the same day?

| I hope someone with more than one comes along to answer your question. If your husband will lend a hand to keep them from wanting to jump it should be ok. Oh, and if you don't want to use those cone thingies to keep them from their stitches, try a loose fitting onesie. It stopped Kaji from trying to lick his stitches.

| 2 pups neutered/spayed at the same time It's been 10 days since Stella and Mojo spent the day at the vet getting spayed and neutered. They were there all day long, and they were out of it all night long. They both slept in their crates for about 18 hours after they got home. They're all healed and back to their usual pranks, now. It was good getting them both done at the same time, because they left each other alone. Ideally, if you got it done on Thursday and took off on Friday, then you'd have the weekend to keep an eye on the little guys. Good luck. Stella & Mojo |

| I had Odie neutered 10 days ago. He goes for his stitches out today. He was fine, hasn''t bothered with the stitches at all. We are having Suzi spayed next week or two. I did it separate really because we weren't sure if she was pregnant or not. She's not. Otherwise would have had them done together. Hugs to your puppies. Shirl x x |

| I would suggest getting them done at the same time. They will be quiet together and this will make it easier on you. Hot Rod was out of it for about 3 days...he also had teeth taken out. He was pretty quiet and then still was not 100 percent but much better. Chances are that they will sleep the first night of being neutered so if you can schedule it on a Friday, then that would be good. Or even if it were a Thursday cause they will probably be quiet on Friday also. If you don't want the plastic cone or onesize, check out my Kiss E-Cone Collars in my signature block. feel free to pm with any questions. Good luck and let us know how they do.
