My poor poor Thor! Having surgery b/c of snaggle tooth! - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Thor had to go to the doctor today because his tooth starting looking very swollen adn red. The doctor didn't think it was too bad but she said that we need to take care of it. So Thor's having surgery today to get that little snaggle tooth taken care of for once and for all. So hopefully there will be no more porblems after this. Too bad the tooth drama didn't happen before he got nuetered so he only had to go under once. The poor guy keeps having to get knocked out...neutering, hook in the eye, and now this. I'm having sucha bad week.

Give Thor a big hug from me.Sounds like you need to sit down with Thor in your lap and have a cup a coffee! You are both stressed out!! I sure hope the day improves for you .

What happened with the Hook in the eye thing??

Poor thing! I said the same thing about mine...he gets 2 teeth out tomorrow...wish I would have known during the neutering...but I was told if I didn't get them out they could wind up being a problem...hope he gets home to you soon!

He got a S hook hooked through his eyelid. He was playing with my parents lab and jumped up and got caught (by his eyelid) on her collar!! So attachted to the collar and all, he was wizzed to the emergency room.

Thanks for everyones kinds words. It does make a difference on these terrbile days.

I'm thinking about him today and sending prayers and Kacee kisses his way. This hopefully will be the end of his troubles.

Holy crap, that's not something that happens every day. The chances of that happening with the labs collar, poor little guy. He hasn't had the best of luck.
Well hopefully his luck turns around!

Thor is back and drunk!!! He really doesn't know what to do with his self. The vet told me that she just wanted to sedate him to extract the tooth but it was too painful for him. So she had to put him under general. Poor little fella! So he is doing better, and hopefully his mouth will be all better. She doesn't know if there is another tooth there, or if anything will grow back. She did say that it appeared to be a broken baby tooth. She said that usually if a baby tooth breaks off in the gum the root will die and sort of make its way out. She said he had a big root and it didn't die. What a hardy guy! Well thats the update! Thanks again for everyone's support! It's day's like these that it really makes a difference.!

Well, at least he made it through the surgery. He'll feel better tomorrow. Let us know if his tooth comes through. I bet it will.
