| Recovery from Surgery..Advice? Hi everyone, my babies were fixed. They seem ok, but I'm worried about my little boy, he didn't eat - any good, healthy human food I can give them that would be a treat and be gentle on their tummies? They are so tender...they have their little softee cones on now... |

| Yes, they got pain meds..they can get some more tomorrow a.m. They actually seem ok - they want me close by (no problem there ) and to be honest, they are a little annoyed with their cones, but they ate some Wellness for Puppies wet food..I guess I just feel so bad for what they went through I want to treat them to something special. I was looking at all the great suggestions for homeade treats...but I got scared that it might be hard on their tummies... |

| Oh they are soo cute... Joey is going Friday and I was wondering about the soft cones,,, where did you get them or is this something I can sew myself....Sorry I can't recommend any good treats for them. I have given Joey and Cabella chicken, and cottage cheese and plain yogurt. Not sure how it would do with what they have been through today,, good luck and let me know about the soft cones.... | I got the soft cones from a lady on Yorkie Talk - "Mom to Hot Rod" - she makes them! The Softee cones - they are really cool actually. |

| My girl was spayed last week-and our vet didn't recommend the cones. She's fine so far. I would feed rice or chicken or chicken broth-that seems to be the most neutral when they are sick! |

| Awww, your babies must be so tuckered out after their day. Bless their little hearts. I'm glad that they are able to be comfortable in their softees.

I wonder how come some vets don't - mine said they have to have it - did you see her licking/scratching at the incision at all? | |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | To me the cones are the safe way to go, but if you find that it gets to be bothersome(my max wont even pee with it on) you can try the infant Onessis, that would prevent them from licking their wounds. Are they doing better today?

| They are better today. It's amazing how well they are doing! My boy had an umbilical hernia which was closed - I really didn't like the look of his little incision, it seems kind of big and puffy! The part where he got fixed looked better...I get so nervous for them! |

| I always keep a few jars of meat baby food on hand, chicken, turkey or lamb to entice mine to eat, or to give pills with.
