| Coconut oil I went to the health food store and bought coconut oil for Bilbo in hopes it will help his dry skin. I let him lick some off my finger and he loved it. How much do I feed him? He weighs about 8 pounds. Is there a formula (ie, X grams or teaspoons per Y pounds of weight?) Should I mix it in his food or feed it from my finger? How about doing an oil pack with it before a bath? |

| I started giving Jax about 1/8 tsp every other day and then increased slowely to 1/4 tsp everyday. I add it to his evening meal. He weighs 7 1/2 lb. He had no stool issues doing it that way. I also melt some down on Saturdays and massage him with it and put a shirt on him, letting the oil sit on him prior to bathing. I have added it to his shampoo too. You just don't need to condition when it is added to the shampoo and have to rinse extra long.

YT 2000 Club Member | I started given my 4 dogs (cats too) the coconut oil last thursday. So far I have given my smaller dogs both under 10 pounds 1/4 of a teaspoon and my bigger dogs both over 20 pounds 1/2 teaspoon in thier breakfast every day. I will slowly increase it over the next few weeks untill they are at the correct dose for thier wieght. So far they havent had any problems.

| I give Pixie who is 6 months a 1/4 tsp every day and it has helped her with digestion and her hair is a lot more silkier. She loves it. I just melt it in my hands and let her lick it off. Thanks Ryan, it is a great product!!!
