YT Addict | Treats from the Table?? I am trying so hard to give Gabby only puppy food, and nothing from the table. (Healthier?) But this morning I had scrambled eggs with cheese left over so I gave Gabby some. She, of course, went wild! Did make a boo-boo? |

| We never feed Eva from the table or couch from our food off our plate. Sometimes she has a little plain chicken or some egg(they love egg) but when we give her a little (and i mean little, like 1/4 teaspoon if) of our human food it is always from a standing position in the kitchen by her treat jar or somewhere else where we are practicing tricks. I think it is ok as long as it is not when you are eating. Also I have read that if you can, eat first because the pack leader eats first and it helps the dog be sure who's the leader. Oh we give Eva a little carrot shred sometimes and tiny bits of cheddar as well as Parmesan.

They can eat it as a treat or during training, but don't let them get in the habit of expecting something everytime YOU are eating. They will start begging by the table every time, and it's REALLY hard to say no to those big brown eyes!

| When I give Joey and Cabella a treat such as human food. I cook the egg using pam or spray crisco, very little. And give it in their food dish. I do this in the morning and not while we are at the table. Those little stinks are just to smart and can tell if you have a bowl of scrambled eggs up there. They NEVER get them as I season them and cook them in butter. Yea, that's good for humans!!!! I just don't have a life insurance policy on the guys like my DH!!! LOL |

| LOL! Yes I joke around with bf that we should go on the "yorkie diet". We can't eat anything that they can't. We quickly decided against it, as we would not be able to eat ANYTHING! It's easier to feed your yorkie healthy food than yourself huh?
