| YorkieRose..... How much and how often should I be feeding these 8 week old puppies? I think I've been feeding them too much. In the mornings there are about 10 good sized poops a piece on their wee wee pad, and then before I feed them and while I'm cleaning their area they each go at least one more time! During the day they go a lot too. I don't mind cleaning up after them (well that's a lie!) but am I over feeding them? Their little tummies look they've swallowed lemons!

| I'm not YokieRose but I do know that puppies poop A LOT when they're that young. I would think about three times a day would be plenty.. are they still nursing some too? The quality of the food you're feeding them may have a lot to do with it too.

| Hi, I have 3 babies that are 9+weeks of age. I keep food in their crate and free feed. BUT, I have also tried feeding 4 times a day and don't see a whole lot of difference. As for da poops! Heave help us, they do it often and stink! like the big one. I sometimes think that their mom should continue nursing them til they are 12 weels old..LOL I use newspaper for their crate but they sleep on it and poop in their beds. Then, they reverse their habits and sleep in the poopied bed. I know they poop 5 times a day or more..Seems like they produce more poop that the food they take in. Do you think they manufacture it?? |

| That's it! We have pooping machines!!!! These are the little puppies I rescued that had been yanked away from their mother at 4 weeks old! So, no, they aren't still nursing. I've dropped from 4 feedings to three and they seem to be doing great! If I were to free feed them I think my entire downstairs would disappear in a mountain of poop!
