| I don't know much about the cost of a spay/neuter but that seems high to me too. In my area they have clinics or special days where the price of a spay/neuter is cheaper than usual.

| You think a place like clinic would be safe to have it done? Shay is a lil shy of 3 pounds..... |

| That seems really high to me! Our boy is 5lbs and his neuter was $95. Shots were $53. I would call around to some other places or get references from friends with smaller animals that is what we did! The vet we are using came highly recommended by a few friends.

| Where in TN are you located. My vet charges are right around 100.00-125.00 and that included pain meds and everything. But Bogie didn't have to have any baby teeth pulled either.

| In the NJ/NYC area, it's anywhere between $400-$650 when I asked around for Duke, we found a low cost clinic that did the surgery and microchip for $100. We didn't have any baby teeth pulled but they required a pre-op visit which was important. When we went, there were a lot of people there and it was extrememly organized. Everything went well and they were hellpful with all my post-op questions. I would say look around if you do not want to spend what was told to you, but more importantly, I'm sure you rather spend a bit more at a place that you're comfortable with especially when it comes to our little ones. Good luck...

| Around here is cost about $100.00 for the neuter and bloodwork. It is $7.00 per tooth that needs to be pulled at the same time. |

| We paid $240 for Jack's neutering just a couple weeks ago. He was neutered and also had 8 baby teeth pulled. Came home with pain killers and antibiotics. The follow up visit we had today was included in the charge. I know this was a bit high, but I really trust this vet with my baby. Jack is a little guy at 4 pounds, so I didn't mind paying the extra money because I know that he was well taken care of.

| I need to have Louis neutered and I was thinking about having it done at a clinic. I am so scared to have it done that I keep putting it off, but I know I HAVE to do it. Did everything go o.k.? Did you have the blood work done at your vet? |
