| nuetering questions Harley is getting neutered on March the 8th and is also having some retained baby teeth removed. He has only lost 3 of his baby teeth so almost all of them need to be removed. He only weighs 3 and 1/4 lbs. My vet assures me he will do fine but I am so worried. I fully trust the vet I have used him for my babies for over 15 years and he has been great. I worry because he is so small. How do you keep these little guys quiet after the surgery to prevent ripping open stitches? He is very active and bounces off furniture and chases his toys constantly. Also are there any problems after having the baby teeth removed? I know I sound like a worry wart, but Harley is my baby and I would be devasted if anything happened to him. | lol, I don't think anyone here will think you are any more of a worry wart than any one of us! My Hot Rod was just under 3 lbs when he was neutered and did okay. He had 14 baby teeth removed too! He was kinda out of it for about 3 days but he wasn't sent home with any pain meds. I wished I would have insisted on it. Poor baby didn't want to be bothered. It will be hard to keep him quiet but obviously you will need to try. Can you set up some type of "stairs" for Harley to go up and down instead of jumping on the couch or bed (if that's what he does). Hot Rod jumped up and down on the couch a couple of times before I could grab him! Best of luck with Harley's neuter. Keep us updated!

| Aw... My Wally was just neutered on Monday. He had 5 baby teeth removed and he was chipped. As far as the teeth go..he did fine. He is eating regular kibble and if I didn't see the teeth I would have really known that any were removed. He was quiet the first day but after that he is right back to his normal crazy self. I have 2 boys and 2 girls and the boys definatly bounce back alot quicker. After all the girls realy have a bigger surgery. Their belly is very sore after. You have to pick them up by the butt and chest not just the chest area, because they stretch too much then. I was a complete wreck when Wally was getting done. He weighs 4lbs. He did super. I'm sure your little one will be fine. But believe me I know how scary it is.
