Senior Yorkie Talker | Toe Nail Trimming.. Okay... Hear me out, I may be wrong but that's why I am here. ZZ has really long nails, and I trim them best I can. Her quik is long as well, so I took her to petsmart today to see what they thought to do about them. The lady came out with her clippers and said "You cut the nail all the way back in the quik to make it desired length, it will heal!" I jerked ZZ up off the counter so quick, I was so apalled?!?!? Do they really do that?!?!?!?! My vet says you can only trim past a certain point and they will be damaged and make their feet hurt, which makes more sense to me. I screamed at the lady and told her to never touch my dog again. The manager caught me going out the door but I was in such a horrid mood after that I ignored him. Has anyone else ever heard of this?! Sorry to be so rancid, I was angry!

Senior Yorkie Talker | Oh my gosh!! I am not letting her do it, I didn't like her at all. I don't plan to go back over there but to find someone who specializes in it. That's scary for me, ZZ is such a weenie ANYWAYS, so I have to be out of the room because I can't stand to hear her holler. Her toenails are on the floor and we have hardwood, so she walks/slides around. I had never heard that before and I have had ZZ for 5 years. So it was just new news to my ears. Thanks for the advice! ZZ & Johanna
