the prob is they do not get under gum line and they cannot get digital xrays so if real bad you need to do the one under anesthesia. we go to a board certified dentist and both my girls came out great and my boy is next. They have further education in anesthesia and specialize in teeth and in your area there are some good ones. The non-anesthetic are good for maintenance

| I have had both Simon and Hallie's teeth cleaned and they did great. Of course, I was terrified the whole time but it sure did make a difference. And after I became diligent about maintenance. |

| Hallie's have been done professionally twice (once when she was 2 when I first got her and then again when she was 6). Simon had his cleaned when he was 5, he had moderate tartar build up. Now I use the Petzlife gel nightly and use the finger brush and doggy toothpaste on them 3 times a week. They don't love it but they tolerate it |

| Pet Dental Care: Drs. Foster & Smith Dental ClensŪ Pads for Dogs i use these as they have chlorhexedine in them which is used by dentists to clean teeth as it kills bacteria in mouth |

I was afraid of doing it and now Guliver is 9 years old and has only 2 teeth left! Just go to a well know, professional clinic.
