Chloe's sick Chloe went to the vet yesterday and had her 1yr shots, last night she got a hold of a piece of ham that fell on the floor, and I gave her her heartworm medicine heartguard. Today when we work up she pooped all over the house but it was not a lot of diarrhea there was some but others were more powdery. She stopped that and then started vomiting x5 so far but she is not vomiting anything but saliva now but a couple times she did vomit ham. I have bought karo syrup just in case we notice hypoglycemia signs but I don't know what it could be from. I hate to take her back to the vet if it is just an upset stomach. I have not noticed her eating or drinking today but she doesn't wake up until 8am so we have not been up too long.

I know ham can be extremely dangerous for yorkies and can even give them pancreatitis (I think), but if she just had her shots it could be that too. I would def bring her into the vet right now because either way she needs to be seen.

Chloe had IV fluids, an antibiotic, pain pill, and is now on a bland diet with freq. small meals for a few days, so far she has not had any episodes of diarrhea or vomiting and is acting like herself again. We never had a diagnosis but whatever they did is working. She is playing again with her toys and gets excited to eat.
