| Recovery Time for Neutering How long after your male's neutering was he back to his old self? I'm in the midst of obedience training and don't want him to miss a class but appears to be time - 7 months. Is is harder on them, the longer you wait? |

| I dropped Bailey off at 8 am, picked him up at 4pm, and he was kinda dopey that night, but by the NEXT morning, you didn't know anything was wrong. He was back to his old WILD self!

| Poncho went in, and the next day, he was all over the place like nothing happened. I did hear some pups take a few days, so I guess it just depends. Good Luck!

| I dropped my male off at 8 and picked him up at 4. When he came home he acted as if nothing was done to him he wasnt groggy or disoriented at all and was his old self. If anything we had to watch him because he wanted to do everything as normal. My female on the other hand was shakey and dioriented. She was back to normal the next day.

| Deegan was just neutered on Thursday. And when I picked him up the next day, you would have never guess that he had surgery. He wa neutered, was mircochipped and had three teeth pulled too. But he was still the same old little boy. Even ate his hard dog food with no problem. He's a trooper for sure! Your little guy will be just fine and should be ok for his next class. Good luck!

| Same here. Keeley was running and juming a few hours after we got home, we were worried that he wasn't getting the rest he needed. But honestly it seemed to affect me (worrying) then it did him. |

| Tuffy was pitiful for about 2 hours when I first got him home.. and then I realized what was making him act like he was hurting.. the tape they had used to cover up where he had his IV was tugging on his hair and he kept yelping because of that. After I took it off he was back to his old self in two seconds flat.

| My puppy was just neutered!!! Was just curious how long everyone kept their " elizabethan collar" on their dogs after they were neutered- My puppy Keoki hates his but I was with him all day today and was able to make sure he didn't lick his wounds- he was just neutered yesterday... Any advice? |

| Tucker was neutered yesterday. He slept therest of the day after his surgery. I said in another thread that I expected full recovery by Thursday. Um, no, make that today! The crazy guy is trying to run around and jump off things! The vet said to keep him still and quiet today! HA HA! He's had to go in his crate alot today. He won't stay still otherwise. |

| Milo went to the vet at midday, I picked him up at about 6 in the afternoon. He was neutered and had 4 teeth pulled out. While we were in the surgery he seemed a little bit sleepy, but the moment he arrived home he started playing and asking for his dinner as if nothing had happened. |
