Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Spay question I have an 18 month old that I had spayed a few weeks ago. This might sound weird but she acts sad now. Does it take time for hormones to settle? I really didn't know where this should go.. she is not sick or injured.

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | You know I think hormornes do weird things to them. I have an appt to get Shilo spayed in two weeks. When she comes into heat she gets really sad like and quits eating, wont play. Shoot the mood swings last longer than the heat cycle. I have no plans on breeding her so Im hoping after her spay she wont have to feel like that. |

| I noticed that Maddie was a little different after her spay, she recovered quickly from the spay it's self but she was not feisty or as playful. She normally bosses the whole house hold around... and it wasn't until about the 6 week mark that she started to get back to her bossy confident self. I am sure your baby is going through something similar, it may just take a while for their bodies to balance back out. I know that hormones definitely do weird things to us, I would think that it is the same for them.
