| My baby is rubbing his face on the floor!! I have a 6 month old Yorkie named Max. Just this morning after eating he started rubbing his face on my living room carpet. Does anyone know why he is doing this? Stacey |

| Is he on new food? did you look to see if is face is swollen, or if he has tear stains or eye boogies that are driving him nutts. I know Daisy will rub her face on the floor if it gets wet. I hope that is all it is but if your baby keeps doing I would take it to the vet.

| Mine use the family room rug as a napkin after meals. My Mom has a huge Golden Retriever that uses my jeans as a napkin after she takes a drink. But if it's something he is constantly doing I would have the vet take a look.

YT 500 Club Member | MY pair do this all the time usually in tandem, once one starts the other follows and they're soon rolling around the floor on their backs. If you watch wildlife programs on wolves and wild dogs they'll do this after eating to wipe the blood off their faces, they're just going back to nature. |

I always knew Lola was very wild. lol Not now with the snow but in the summer she will roll around in the grass as soon as she is out side. She does it now on the couch and bed and does that with her face too. lol | |

| Thanks for all the info. He just started doing it but it was right after he ate. The hair on his face and especially around his mouth is a bit long and I've been keeping him trimmed..... sooooo..... he was probably just wiping his face on the floor! Thanks to all! Stacey |

| Mine does this too after she eats. Now I wipe her face with a puppy wipe after she eats so she spares my carpet! |

| Prince would do that after eating chicken and or eggs. He's sensitive to chicken and its by-products. We took him off of all chicken and he no longer does that.

YT Addict | Derby does that, and all over the couch and blankets and carpet right after his bath! I assume it's because he's drying himself off... He also does it because he's so excited about something! Someone told me it was him marking his territory in the house. I don't know about that.

| lol yep my maltese does this after eating - do you feed wet or dry? if wet could be wiping face. If you are feeding a new food and doing this alot then could be food allergy. Mine also do it if they have eye boogies |

| It could be a bad tooth, or dry eye or good manners...cleaning their face. Only a vet can rule out health issues.
