should i change food? kayden has been on wellness since she was a puppy. she's been on the 'simple solutions' for about a month now. but she...just this week...started having diarrhea. only at her normal poo times. nothing extra. but she did throw up a couple times wednesday. she doesn't act like anything is wrong...not acting sick or anything. and she doesn't feel like she has fever or anything. no other symptoms. i'm thinking of going to the store today and getting samples of other foods. any ideas or suggestions?

Is it possible she ate something she shouldn't have? If it were her food I would think you would have seen this earlier.

To the OP.. if you are pretty sure that she isnt sick, doesnt have any parasites, hasnt gotten a hold of anything she wasnt suppose to then I would try changing her food to see if it stops. You can also try adding some plain yogurt (make sure it doesnt have aspartame) or regular canned pumpkin (not spiced) to see if that helps.

thanks for the replies! i'm 99.9% sure she isn't sick. she still plays like there's no tomorrow...and she's drinking fine. i've looked thru her poo...don't see anything. yuck! but i did it! and her pee is fine, too. no blood in either. i'll try the pumpkin tomorrow. i have some of that. i didn't think about the yogurt. i'll have to get some...but it's good to know to keep that around, too. thanks again!!

If you are getting samples you should try Evanger's Pheasant and Brown Rice. I tried tons of brands before I settled with Evanger's - it is a good natural food with no corn, soy, by-products. They sent me samples in the mail plus my local feed store gave me some. My two pups really like the taste and it has taken all the smell out of their poo - it was HORRIBLE on Innova. Plus, the last time I ordered a bag from their website (last week), they sent me a free bag of treats! I LOVE free stuff!!!

| I feed my 2 welness super 5mix small breed. They love it, and have no problems. Try the pumpkin and see if this helps. If you do decide changing foods , do it gradulaly .

well...i took kayden to the vet yesterday. no fever...stool sample came back fine. she said it was stress. we're moving to another house about 45 minutes away from where we are now...and going up and down the highway...and spending nights at both places. kayden also started doggie daycare a couple weeks ago. so...she's just stressed out with all the changes. good to know that she is not 'sick' and that it will pass. the vet gave me some forti-flora and told me to also add psyllium to her food. *we had a 'formed' stool this morning already!!* thanks again kelli
