| Eye "boogers" Ok...so I am sure someone has asked before but I am not quite sure how to find specific topics on here yet so I am just going to ask again. My babies have bad eye "boogers" and I just wanted some advice on how to manage them...we have been trying some stuff but I just wanted to see what you guys did...also potty training has not been accomplished yet and we have had them for a month in a half...AHHHH |

| I use a grooming comb, it is small enough to get the eye boogers out without hurting them.

| For the eye boogers, I was told to try distilled water. My aunt uses it for her maltese and it cleared up the tearstains and cut down on the amount of boogers. Potty training...... well I've had Max since the first of November and he is doing really well pad training. First thing is that I work during the day and coming home in the middle of the day is not financially feasible for me so instead of crate training in the day, I have limited him to my living room area. He has already picked out an area to "go" so thats where I put his puppy pad. Second, at night he sleeps in his crate. Before I put him in his crate I take him to the puppy pad and tell him to go potty. It has taken me a week or so but he has finally gotten the idea and will go when I ask him to. Then I put him in his crate by my bed. He will usually wake me up once and will go right on the pad. Depending on when he wakes me up I will either put him back in his crate or let him sleep in my bed for the rest of the night. I hope this helps! Good luck with your babies! Stacey |

| Thank you! I will try the distilled water and the comb...as for potty training...we hav done the same although its outside, not on the pee pad because they shred them...they are just not picking it up...they go when we are outside although they also go inside...so frustrating...we also work during the day so in their crate they stay dry all day but when we are home at night or on the weekends they just go as they please...even with us watching and bringing them out...I wonder some times if it is because we have two...who knows...hopefully it will come some day although it is causing a lot of fighting between me and the husband... |
