| Help/ arthritis! Has anyone ever given Deramaxx to their dogs for arthritis? My friend's Yorkie is 11 yrs. has arthritis. This past week Angie has been really suffering with the damp/humid weather in PA. Her vet gave her Deramaxx this a.m. to ease the inflammation/pain. My friend is so worried about Angie's reaction to this medication. I researched it for her but only gave her the positive benefits. This Yorkie is her 'child'. My friend is housebound after her car was hit head on by a truck a couple of years ago (head injury). I worry about what will happen to her with Angie getting on in age. Jessica |

Please allow all us YT members time to read the posts and reply. It isn't easy at times to reply to all the threads in a timely matter. Your thread is highly important and you must realize that it opens the doors for other members who are interested or have information regarding arthritis. I myself have been told Schatzie may develop arthritis when she ages due to some past surgery on her hip. I already see now Schatzie at times hurting or not comfy with her back end areas. I daily rub/massage her hips and back and apply warm clothes. I do not medicate her now as do not see a need. That might change in her later years. Again - Remember that your contributing words to YT are highly appreciated.

| Arthritis is very hard on our babies. If that is what the vet ordered, I'm sure she will be OK. I lost a baby with the same thing, I'm glad your watching over your friend. It's very hard to deal with knowing they are in pain. The very best to all of you!
