| i have found that bella "sticks" it in her bed... waits for it to get hard (she is in the bathroom when we are at work/school) then plays with it... so we have resorted to throwing all her toys in there with her... but my next step (since we just THINK she is eating it) is to try to put something in her food... FRUSTRATING!!! |

YorkieTalk Newbie! | When I read your response, I laughed. Lexi also brings it into her bed. Every book says that the dogs will not bring it into their beds because that is where they stay. Ours are the exception. What is there to do and can they get sick from eatinf their poop? Diane |

| Pineapple worked for us...only for a short while. The only way really that works for Mimi was to catch her in the act, or more like catch her before she eats it. I firmly tell her 'no' & clean the poop. When I'm too late, I grab the toothbrush & paste & clean her mouth out. Thank goodness she's the only one that does it.

YT Addict | I was having this issue as well. with some advise from my dog trainer friend it has stopped. I changed her food. I was told either she isnt getting the nutrients she needs from her food and is eating poo in hopes to reprocess it OR her food is simply too bland OR there is something in her food that makes her poo delicious :P either way after changing her food it has stopped. good luck!!!

| Does your dog eat thier food fast? Cooper tried to do this once b/c she eats so fast, her food did not digest. Therefore, her poo still had food pieces in it! Waste not, want not...right? |
