| Will the teething ever end? How old was your furbaby when they quit teething and trying to bite anything in their site....furniture, hands, shoes, etc. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Ha ha. I hear ya. Jillie is 8 months and a chewing demon. I just give her lots of healthy things to chew, bully sticks, nylabones, stuffed kongs. When she grabs something unacceptable, I replace it with something acceptable. Good luck!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Crazy little chewers. Mine is 5 months and a chewing machine. I think I might be making headway with the mouthing of my hands. I schreech really loud when she does it and she imediately opens her mouth and sometimes when I'm calm enough....I do the "claw" to the back of her neck like Ceasar says to do in "How to Raise the Perfect Dog". That works better but dang those razor sharp teeth hurt so bad, I almost lose my mind when she does it. I have a million chew toys, etc. but she's like a vampire lusting for my flesh. Still no distruction of belongings. I love her so much but dream of the time that I can play with her without pain involved. Maybe it gets better after teething time is over. |

| We are going thru it here as well. And it does HURT! Sometimes I think I am making headway and then it appears she has totally forgotten it all. I suspect that is normal and part of the repitition and patience thing everyone talks about. I unfortunately can not have skinbabies, so I am learning every day. Shame she looks so darn cute

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | My first yorkie, Manolo didn't really seem to go through a teething phase when she was a puppy. For the first 9 months we had her she never chewed up anything to the extremes or merely at all. I thought it was a blessing considering my first puppy ever(Maltese) had such a bad teething phase I thought I could die! However, after 11 months, Manolo started chewing up things. I noticed she had a particular fondness for soft plastic textures. So she has a nylabone. I'm considering those Himalayan Chews, I have a feeling she will love them.

| Shayna will be a year on Sat and she just lost her last canine, the one the vet thought he had to pull (thankfully I didn't do it). And she is a big time chewer. Lots of bones, just slaughtered a ball on a rope, so I look for the hardest most petrified bones as possible. She's slower but worse than my mini bull terrier with the big teeth. Hang in there, not sure it goes away |

| Fancy is 15 months and still loves to bite everything and chew! She just lost her last baby tooth last month so I don't know when it ends after they get all their adult teeth...
