| Teething Question Tomorrow, Zoey will be 23 weeks old. She has lost what appears to be two molars over the last two nights. She appeared to be gnawing on her gums which gave me a clue. A little blood not too much. I aided her by encouraging brushing her teeth, which worked like a charm. I also gave her one of her favorite things, a small ice cube that I hope helped numb it and sooth her. She is otherwise seemingly fine. She is napping right now. Question is... do I need to be doing anything special? Like benadryl or baby aspirin or something? I don't want to give her something she doesn't need but I also would prefer this not to be too painful. Just a new mommy who tends to worry sometimes too much Thanks in advance!

| Teething should be done in about a month.....as she is losing her baby teeth, just monitor, a larger percentage of yorkies retain some baby teeth, usually their canines. Your vet will have to remove those for you. This is usually done at the same time she as spayed. That way she'll only have to undergo antesthesia once. Don't wait too long as retained baby teeth can throw off the bite.
