| My 3 months baby came back with floppy ears after vaccines My 3mon old baby had beautiful ears until I picked her up from the vet yesterday. Now both of her ears are floppy... (She had her 2nd set of shots and flea control at the vet) I am so worried about her ears... I cleaned her ears today and were some brown waxy stuff inside, so I took her to the vet ....AGAIN... The doc said to bring her back tomorrow.. ahhhhhh.. okay,, but she is my baby and want to know whats going on with her ears? why is there brown wax inside? and why her ears are floppy/down?! SHE HAD POINTY PRETTY EARS !!!!! Dose she have some kind of infections? Is she still sicky from the shots?! (but it has been more than 48hrs since she got her shots...) PLEASE HELP.. |

| The floppy ears probably have nothing to do with the vaccine. Up until puppies are done loosing their baby teeth (6 months) their ears will go up and down (something about calcium.. not sure). I would not be bringing her back to the vet- her ears are probably just dirty- use cleaner- the vet will just charge you money. As long as a) her ears are not red b) they smell ok and c) she isn't itching them- she is ok. |

| Is your baby teething? If so that could be the number one thing to consider. Usually reactions to vaccines are far worst than her ears going down |

| I agree that her ears will go up and down while teething BUT you said that you took her back to see him and he want to see her again. What did the vet do for her ears when you took her back to see him? What did you say he thought was the problem? Why did you have to leave her at the vet for shots? That seems odd to me unless he wanted to monitor her for any type of reaction to the vaccines.

| Their ears can go down when they are teething, when their scared/ stressed, and some times just when their not feeling well. Im sure they will go back up soon. |

| This is probably not the cause, but when my Chow mix went for shots as a puppy the assistant held him by the head with his ear crushed in her hand to keep him from moving! Needless to say the cartilage was broken and that one ear has flopped ever since. It made me very upset. I questioned them about it, but they denied that it could have done it. I saw it. Both ears had been up for months until those shots. It was the side she had crushed in her hand that was broken. I never went back to that vet again.
