| How good is Royal Canin 33? My Mee-kah and now sharpie are eating the Royal Canin 33 Puppy, the reason they are eating this is because the breeder who sold me Mee-kah told me that is what she was eating and she was happy eating it (which is true) now sharpie does not want to eat anything more lol, (sharpie is a year old, what he is eating says from 2-10 months) what can this do in long term? Can it hurt them in any way if they keep eating it past the time mentioned? (i sound like i need to buy myself a how to care for dogs the dummie book lol)

| I don't think it's a "bad" food but a lot of people stay away from it because it contains corn. I do believe that for the PRICE and the small bag that it comes in (I believe it's less than a 4lb bag) it's VERY expensive. It's way over-priced for the products that are in it. I wouldn't recommend feeding puppy food to adults just because puppies need different things than adult dogs. Jackson eats Nature's Variety Instinct and it comes in a 4.4lb and around here it's around $17 and it contains a lot of meat so the upped price makes sense to me.

| Yes, be careful, most puppy foods contain more fat in them and could result in your 1 yr old to gain some weight. Royal Canine is used by many on YorkieTalk and many do well with it. Some Yorkies tend to get the itchies from RC. If your dogs are not itching, biting, or have strange poop, and like to eat it, I would stick with it and just get an adult formula for Sharpie. Some puppy foods I recommend are: Innova Wellness Merrick Some all life stages foods I recommend are: -Innova Evo -Acana -Orijen Good Luck Snick & Viv

| I did notice that he did gain one pound, he was 9 pounds now he weights 10 or so.. but i have NEVER seen him eat so well, he was actually a huge problem with food because nothing we tried with him was working, that's why I was so excited when he started eating this food, but if its going to keep making him gain weight, I will have to switch him over, I don't want to harm his little metabolism.. poor mommy's pooch.. I will work to see what he likes I'm going to try some foods of the ones you all have mentioned and see how that goes with him. I just want him to eat and be happy & play . As to the price.. it does get expensive, I think I'm buying 3 pounds or 4 or so for $13. They have the 15 pound bag for almost $50..... i normally was buying puppy chow for sharpie and Eukanuba he did not like any of them.. because he likes what mommy and daddy eat..it smells yummy to him plus grandma spoiled sharpie when he was a puppy and fed him regular food everytime he gave the puppy face so its been so hard to get him to eat... and yes i did tell grandma she could not do that.... grandmas sometimes dont listen lol.
