| Sweet Aveeno!! Hi Everyone..... Ii was wondering something....I rub a little Aveeno on Lucky's feet a couple of times a day....it's the unscented kind....I do this because I don't like the roughness of his paw pads....lol My problem is that he licks it off as soon as I put it on him....lol He will do this when I put it on my own hands and feet too! I tasted it and it has a sweet taste to it but I was wondering if it will hurt him licking a little bit! I don't put it on his paws thick, I just rub it in like I would on myself!! Thanks.....

| Hmmmmmmmmm...I have no idea. Maybe you can look up the ingredients online, or poison control online. I wouldn't want Prince to ingest something that is supposed to be topical.

| My understanding was always that rough pads on their feet was a good /necessary thing as it "toughened" the feet up for the all terrain walking they do every day. Essentially, they have formed callouses to protect their feet. Unless they're cracking or flaking I personally wouldn't put anything on their pads. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hmmm....I'm not sure about this....but there are some realllly good/knowledgeable holistic folks on this board...so I hope they will see this and chime in. What about bag balm or something? Is that better? I honestly don't know, but I'm very careful about my boys licking any creams or stuff...
