Suckling when sleeping? My 6 month old has stopped doing this but he did when he was younger. Now I've noticed that my 1 year old suckles when he sleeps or at least it sounds like suckling and the bottom of his chin moves in and out like he's suckling. Anyone else's fuzzbutts do this??

| My little Peanut @ 6 months old suckles when he sleeps. If he's laying on my chest, he sucks on my neck.

So cute! He doesn't try to suck on anything that I know of. Ozzy is too big to lay on my chest when sleeping so I guess it's just air. The most Tucket will do is run in his sleep when he's dreaming. I wish I knew what they were dreaming about that makes them run or if they think they are in a big meadow somewhere with lots of steaks.

Skeeter doesn't suckle but he would drop anything he's doing if I hold my finger out to him. He loves to hold it in his mouth as he goes to sleep. He used to use it as a pacifer! Tooooo sweet. Don't you think?

Well, Skeeter is over 1.5 years old so I don't think he is going to outgrow it. I kid you not, I can get him to drop a toy that way! LOL.

I wonder what the dog trainers on here think about it? Would they suggest we discourage it. I know I am not encouraging him to grow up at all. OMG he looks like a puppy (all roly poly and round) and he certainly acts like one. He is a real Mama's boy. Even the other dogs treat him like a puppy. He is the youngest and only male. Just this week he finally got brave enough to jump up on the couch without being picked up. (He never has had a problem jumping down. ) LOL
