| Lexi s puppy is losing weight Lexi delivered her puppies on 11/6, seven in all the smallest weighed 2.6 oz she is eating well I make sure of that but she doesn't seem to be gaining weight she actually now weighs 2.4 does any one have any ideas I don't know what to do to help this little one the vet seems to think if shes eating she will be okay. I'll take any advise |

| Make sure she gets to eat first and does not have to fight for a nipple. This will require you getting up every two horus night and day and putting her on a nipple, for the next two to three weeks. |

| Also with that many puppies you should be giving mom lots of calcium. As the demand for milk grows she could develope eclampsia. I give mine a half boiled egg and two tablespoons of cottage cheese twice a day, along with puppy kibble. |

| I have started giving lexi scambled eggs and yogurt I will add the cottage cheese. I thank you for your advise and keep us in your prayers |
