| Swollen, Purple Vulva & Swollen Nipples-4 weeks since Heat Cycle! My little furbaby, Brownie, just had her first heat cycle, and the bleeding and swelling came....the bleeding stopped, but the swelling stayed... Her vulva is a purple color, and is very "pruney" from her constant licking... Her nipples are still swollen. ALSO: she has had no contact with male dogs, so...it is not pregnancy! It has been 4 weeks...vet time? Any advice would be helpful!!

| Hi I am so sorry to hear about your poor baby, I would go to the Vet, as it has been a few weeks, and not improved. They may have an instant answer for you. Keep us posted. We are thinking of you both. Diana & Teddy x

| It has been almost 3 months since Taylor was in heat and she still has some swelling, The dr. said some times it varies from dog to dog.... I wouldn't wory too much. She is scheduled to be spayed on the 22nd. Tami <>< |

| It could be a false pregnancy but I would give her sometime, it takes 3 weeks to go through the heat, and since its only been 4 weeks, she may be one that takes a couple of weeks for the swelling to go down, I have a girl that does that for 3 to 4 weeks after her heat cycle.

| Zoe's 2nd heat was like that! She stayed swollen for a couple months and then things went back to normal. |
