| Bottom Problem Ella got spayed last friday, and she wont get her stitches out until this friday. Problem is, she needs a bath. She has doo-doo stuck to her bottom and I cant for the life of me get it off. I have tried a warm wash cloth forEVER and it just wont get out. I usually keep her bottom hair-free and even when it gets a little long like it is now, it hasnt been a problem. But her system was messed up after surgery I guess so her poo was runny once and I didnt clean it (bad momma ) Anyway I CANT get it off. I am going to the vet's groomer tomorrow where they will just fix her hiney... IF they can get me in. She keeps straining like she is constipated now but I gave her pumpkin and I guess it hasnt helped.... Either that or she is just straining to get that hunk of poopie off..... I dont know I feel terrible. Does anyone have any other ideas so I can make my baby feel better? I am too scared to cut it...

| I would just cut it out. Reminds me Uni's tushy needs a trim. Hope she feels better soon.

| Can you fill up the sink maybe 1/4 the way with soapy warm water (squirt shampoo to make bubbles) and just hold her bottom in there enough to get it all wet but of course keep her high enough so her stiches dont get wet. I bet if you could just kind of dunk her bum a few times in that warm soapy water it would be enough to loosen up so you could then wipe with a wash cloth and cut away the rest. Poor baby, she likes being clean and is not happy right now...hope she feels better soon.

| I think I would put her into the kitchen sink and get her little hiney wet with the sprayer directing the water right to the offending area to loosen it up. As long as you don't get crazy with the water she will be fine. She might be straining because her incision hurts.
