New Dry Food I am currently feeding my 3 yorkies chicken soup for the dog lover's soul (adult). I took them to the vet and the doctor said that they can't get any fatter. I dont' think they are fat though : ). Anyways any suggestions on dry dog food for them? What do you think of the chicken soup lite dog food? Anything will help me out. Thanks in advance. Stephanie

I've never tried that brand of food. As far as the weight of your baby, there are several premium dog food companies that offer a weight management formula. Many of them offer samples so you can try them out prior to buying. I just switched my pups from Nutro Ultra to Innova. They are both still under a year so I was mainly looking at puppy formulas and not weight management. But, some good high quality brands include Innova, Canidae, Wellness and Solid Gold. I know Wellness and Solid gold are sold at my local PetCo. Another good brand sold at PetCo is Natural Balance. Hope you can find one that works for you!

I also wanted to add that Wellness and Natural Blance mailed me samples (their contact info is on their websites) but I was able to get samples of the other brands from specialty pet food stores. I sampled all the brands I listed above. My yorkie is VERY picky so I went with the one I thought he liked the best - Innova. Good luck!

Is weight the only issue you're having with them and this food? If so, I see no reason to start switching foods. If you're not free feeding, simply just cut down on their portions slightly and try to add in a little more exercise. They'll loose a little bit of weight and you'll figure out how much everyone needs. Focus on slightly lowering the calories consumed, as its much more important then simply just the food - especially when you're already feeding something that is good quality.

| My dogs love Merricks and Merricks Before Grain... I fed my cat chicken soup but I stopped because that company preserves their food with Ethoxyquin. Hope you find something you like!
